“We can’t detect Tally Prime on this computer”

The two usual causes:
  1. Tally is not open. Open Tally Prime and stay on the Gateway of Tally screen.
  2. The server port is off. In Tally, press F12 at the Gateway of Tally, go to Features, then Tally.NET, enable TallyPrime Server, and set the port to 9000.
Then click Recheck Connection.

My company is not in the list

The company is not open in Tally. Open it from the Gateway of Tally, return to AI Accountant, and click refresh.

The Connector indicator will not turn green

  • Confirm the connector is installed on the same computer that runs Tally, not another machine.
  • Confirm you signed in with the same email you use for AI Accountant.
  • The connector needs Windows 10 or above.

My Tally is on the cloud

The connector installs on a Windows machine running Tally. For cloud-hosted Tally, use the Contact Us link on the setup page.

Someone else runs Tally for us

Use the Invite option at the bottom of the connect page. The person sitting at the Tally computer completes the connector steps.

Data stopped syncing

The connector has to be running on the Tally computer for sync to continue. Check that the computer is on, Tally is open, and the connector is signed in.

Will this change my Tally data?

During integration, AI Accountant only reads your books. Masters, ledgers, and vouchers are not edited, added to, or deleted. Entries reach Tally only when you sync them yourself from a module.
