Our journey started with a simple question from our customers:
“Why can’t banks provide smart spend insights the way Karbon Card does?”
This led to the creation of Spendlytics, a tool designed to make card transaction data easy to understand and act on. But it didn’t stop there. Customers wanted the same clarity across their bank statements, covering not just expenses but also revenue and cash flow.
To solve this, we expanded into a broader financial automation tool and called it KoreFi — short for Core Finance, with a nod to our Karbon roots. KoreFi’s goal was clear: to automate bookkeeping end-to-end by pulling data from scattered sources like emails, bank portals, WhatsApp, PDFs, and more.
As KoreFi gained traction, customers began comparing us to Tally and Zoho Books. But we were never trying to replace accounting software. Instead, we focused on something different — solving the manual, repetitive work that slows accountants down.
That’s how AI Accountant was born.
Rather than competing with traditional tools, AI Accountant works alongside them — automating tasks like transaction tagging, bank reconciliation, document follow-ups, and report generation. We’re building a tool-agnostic automation layer designed to give Indian accountants a faster, smarter, more strategic way to work.
Our mission is to become the most trusted AI-powered accounting partner in India. We aim to empower accountants and finance professionals with intelligent tools that free them from manual data entry and help them focus on what truly matters — compliance, insight, and growth.
At AI Accountant, we believe the future of accounting is not about man versus machine — it’s about man working with machine. We're here to support India’s accountants through that transition and help them lead in the age of automation.
