# Set up and use AIA Bot

> Get access on WhatsApp, send a bill, ask about your books, and switch between companies.

AIA Bot is available on WhatsApp to every user of a Tally-integrated company. This page walks through getting access, sending your first bill, asking about your books, and switching between companies.

## Get Access

AIA Bot is available to every user of a Tally-integrated company. No request or manual setup is needed on our side.

**1. Add your WhatsApp number**

Opt in to WhatsApp updates when you sign up, or add and verify your WhatsApp number in your AI Accountant profile. Once you connect Tally, the bot sends you a welcome message on WhatsApp.

**2. Wait for the introduction**

You are automatically introduced to AIA Bot on WhatsApp, with a first message built from your own company's data.

This works the same way whether you are an existing user, a new sign-up, or someone invited to the company.

## Send a Bill

Click a photo of the bill, or forward the PDF a supplier already sent you on WhatsApp.

The bill is extracted the same way as an upload in Accounts Payable and lands in your Needs Review queue, ready for review in under 10 seconds. Approving and syncing still happen in AI Accountant. See [Review and approve a bill](https://www.aiaccountant.com/help/accounts-payable/review-a-bill.md).

## Ask About Your Books

Ask in English or your own language. AIA Bot answers from the latest Tally data synced with AI Accountant.

| Receivables | "what's my outstanding receivables" |
| Payables | "what do I owe my suppliers" |
| Ledger balances | "what's the balance in HDFC current account" |
| Revenue and sales | "what were my sales last month" |

Answers come back in about 10 seconds.

## Switch Companies

To switch companies, type **“change my company”**, **“use \{company name}”**, or **“show \{company name}”**. This will open your company list—tap the company you want to switch to.

You can manage and switch between **up to 10 companies using the same WhatsApp number**.

> **Note:** You can’t switch to a company by simply typing its name. You must first open the company list using one of the commands above.

## A Working Routine

If bills arrive through the day, forward each one as it comes instead of saving them up for later, so your Needs Review queue stays light.
